I write about tech, data and AI, and about whatever else I have been thinking about — which is a lot, and rarely one thing at a time. I am the sort of person with several trains of thought running at once and no timetable for any of them. Some of them end up here.
The technical posts come out of work: data and machine-learning infrastructure, usually the parts that don’t make it into a README. Why an approach was chosen, what it cost, where it broke. Everything here is written from something I actually ran, and where the numbers are mine, they’re real numbers.
The rest is less tidy. I love music. I love art and science and people, and I have never understood why anyone files those as separate interests — the same curiosity seems to be doing the work in all three. I claim to love nature, which is generous of me; I am almost certainly a city girl. Though I have now lived in the Netherlands long enough to catch myself admiring a flat grey horizon, so perhaps that is changing.
